The contribution of the Data Terra node is structured around several complementary technical and operational axes. First, Data Terra serves as the Lead Beneficiary of Work Package 6 (WP6), which is responsible for the final systemic integration and deployment of the project’s tools and services within the EOSC Federation. In this context, Data Terra acts as a pilot node for the operational demonstrators, showcasing the implementation of the CDIF4EOSC Playbook in real operational workflows, including the transformation of heterogeneous Earth observation and environmental datasets into FAIR Digital Objects (FDOs). Data Terra also contributes its recognized expertise in semantic interoperability and scientific variable description through the development of the I-ADOPT framework, while CNRS operates EarthPortal, an OntoPortal-based catalogue of semantic artefacts that provides a key infrastructure for metadata enrichment. In addition, Data Terra mobilizes its thematic data hubs, notably ODATIS for marine data and AERIS for atmospheric data, to validate CDIF4EOSC solutions in interdisciplinary use cases addressing oceanographic and climate research. Data Terra further contributes to policy and governance activities under WP6 by participating in stakeholder consultations with the EOSC Association to support the adoption of the CDIF4EOSC Playbook and the definition of sustainable governance and long-term operational models. Finally, Data Terra contributes to interoperability gap analysis by identifying bottlenecks in data ingestion and mapping interoperability requirements between EOSC nodes and European Data Spaces, including the Green Deal Data Space.
